02 Passat Will Lock Doors But Not Unlocking

Ok everyone sort of a new issue.

02 passat will lock doors but not unlocking.

The door lock works in only one direction. C locking was working but ds rear door not locking are unlocking then drivers door and ps rear doors jamed not to read more. Ordered an aftermarket lock assembly and replaced unit. Not really logical but thought worth the try.

I would have to use the remote or driver s door buttons to unlock the rear door. I left the inner door panel off so wife could drive it for a few days. The remote keys won t unlock the doors but will open the boot. This issue also indicates a bad lock actuator.

If this happens the problem is with the remote. 97 4 door passat centrail locking not working red light not flashing on drivers door. My 2004 vw passat has an issue where the nearside rear door will not always open when the corresponding button is pressed on the car key. Passat remote key not unlocking car.

When the other doors are unlocked the faulty door makes an unusual noise as if something is trying to move but can t. So i went into the mfd and changed the default from unlocking only the driver s door to unlocking all the doors. Tested door 4 times locking and opening from inside and out. L r door lock acting up on my 05 passat.

The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work. Until 2 days later. Arriving at my destination the rear door would not open from the outside intermittently. Not starting then bashing the lock unlock buttons a few times.
